TEBL Spring Symposium in Ottawa today

Vanessa Tallon presented at the TEBL spring symposium.
Attendees included members representing all of the school boards of Ontario, 5 Universities who are now offering the Technological education certification , Skills Canada Ontario and the Provincial Ministry of Education.
The goal was to explain the Women in HVAC-R mission and how we can support. Just exposing HVAC-R as a trade that should be put at the forefront oh what is out there. Response was very positive, it was a amazing networking and informative event.

Thank you to the 135 in person attendees and the numerous people who joined us virtually from all over Canada. Our Sponsor support was immeasurable enabling us to continue to run our 100% volunteer organization as well as provide support and scholarships to our future Women in HVAC
Skilled Trades event at Christ The King High School

A local young woman has a leg up on her potential future career after receiving $500 worth of free tools for work in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) industry.
Samantha Del Guidice, a senior at Christ the King Catholic Secondary School, recently received the complimentary Milwaukee Tools set after submitting an essay to Women in HVAC-R Canada about why she wants to get into the trade.
The nationwide organization, co-founded by Nathalie Brooks of Georgetown’s Brooks Heating and Air, has a mission to promote the inclusion and advancement of women in the profession.
Del Guidice said she was inspired to pursue the HVAC-R field by how dedicated and hard-working the tradespeople are in the industry.
